MARKETING CLERKS--- REF: WSL/05/2021/MC/02

Nature of scope – Ensure timely preparation of marketing plans is in place.              

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop marketing plans.
  • Analyzing questionnaires when a market survey is carried out and give analyses of the market conditions and opportunities.
  • Writing reports, Sacco brochures and similar documents.
  • Organizing and hosting presentations and customer visits.
  • Assisting with promotional activities like distribution of promotional materials for the SACCO.
  • Visiting customers/external agencies and map potential customers and competitors for the product offered in the SACCO.
  • Helping to organize market research for all the SACCO products and services.
  • Promote initial follow ups for sales prospects of the product.

Key Qualification / Requirements

Skills, Competencies and Experience

  • Diploma in sales and marketing or any other business related course from a recognized institution
  • Knowledge in credit Management is an added advantage
  • Possession of a Driving License  is an added advantage
  • At least 6 months’ experience in a similar capacity
  • Possess basic selling skills
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency especially in accounting package MS word and excel

MICRO CREDIT OFFICERS--- REF: WSL/05/2021/MI/03

Job summary
Reporting to the manager in charge, the position holder will be responsible for the growth of micro credit portfolio, monitoring and evaluation of finances by ensuring the group bond is intact.

Job Content:

  • To assist in identification and formation of micro finance groups    
  • To participate in training of groups and to make group visits.
  • To appraise loan applications in strict conformity with the micro credit policy.       
  • To track loans and make follow-ups on defaulted loans.      
  • To closely monitor business performance of loanees and detect early any signs of defaulting
  • Ensure Reconciliation of group accounts are done regularly
  • To mobilize resources for expansion and growth of micro credit programme.
  • To ensure micro credit loan applications are properly and accurately appraised. To ensure strict adherence to micro credit policy in loan granting and loan administration.
  • To ensure all micro credit loan applications are promptly submitted for approval.
  • To facilitate groups to keep accurate records and in particular to regularly reconcile group accounts records with memo accounts maintained by micro credit groups.
  • To ensure proper maintenance of members records and in particular members files, registers and memo accounts.
  • To ensure proper management of micro credit loan portfolio.

ACCOUNTS/CREDIT CLERKS- REF: WSL/05/2021/AC/01

Job Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor in charge, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of all loan processes and procedures at the Branch. In addition, loans processing generating a loan report and initiative on improvements of service delivery

Duties and responsibilities

  • Customer service- Appraisal and advising members on loan eligibility
  • Ensure completeness of loan application form and adequacy of information provided
  • Ensure loan transactions are posted to members accounts and computation of interest earned by each member and society is done as necessary
  • Preparation of accurate reports of defaulters, dormant loans and accounts
  • Respond to members enquiries and complaints pertaining to loans and ensuring prompt communication to the members on their loan status
  • Establish causes of loan defaults and advising on remedial measures
  • Notify loanee and guarantors  of loans default and institute recovery measures
  • Reconcile loan accounts to ensure postings are correctly done.

Key qualifications, requirement

  • Diploma in any business field: - credit management/co-operative management
  • CPA part  II
  • One years experience in accounts field
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner
  • Be a team player with excellent interpersonal  and communication skills
  • Computer proficiency especially in accounting package MS word and excel
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
